is our Multi-Standard CMX Format Automatic EDL LISTER. Based
on our TC-1 Reader/Generator it has TWO Timecode Readers and an
enhanced PC serial comms 1 interface. The supplied User Friendly
PC List Capture software must be installed on a host PC and
generates CMX Format or Hand Logging EDL List with separate Job
and Episode Sub-directories. The CMX Format EDL lists may be used
for Audio Auto Conforming on AMS, DAR and other compatible Hard
Disc systems. Master Programme Time can be derived from the
integral Generator referenced to an external source (which allows
the use of source material which has Non-Timecode inserts) or
external Timecode via the second Timecode Reader. Reel Number
idents are derived from User Bits or Timecode Hours. Both
Monochrome and Colour PC displays are supported. |

our EDL LISTER/INSERTER uses our integral PAL/NTSC video
inserter to provide up to four separate insertions, selectable
from 7 sizes and 4 styles and derived from Timecode/User Bits
information. |

Timecode Generator may be free running or Jammed to the
Reader input. When operating with Film our FC-1 FilmCoder may be
used as a source of Timecode for the Second Timecode Reader
allowing the Record In/Out time to be set to a standard value at
the Start Mark. Software Filters are incorporated in the system
to compensate for Timecode Dropouts/Wow caused by edits in
magnetic audio stock.
Operation of EDL LISTER is very straightforward thanks to our
applications specific software which guides the operator through
a logical sequence of PC screens and SOFT FUNCTION KEYS. The
operator is prompted to enter Job and Episode information prior
starting the EDL LISTER by pressing the `START' function key. If
no information is entered by the operator the lister will still
run , entering DEFAULT information where appropriate.
If an EDL List is to be generated from a VITC source our
optional EDO-2 VITC Reader/VITC to LTC converter must be fitted
to ED-2. |
ED-3

EDL TAKER is our Multi Standard CMX Format Manual Off-Line
Edit Decision List Generator. Based on our TC-3 Location LTC
Reader/Generator it interfaces with a standard PC via Comms 1. A
single key depression captures the current Timecode position and
this may be assigned to either a REPLAY IN or REPLAY OUT point.
The combination of ED-3, a PC and a VHS machine facilitates
simple and cost effective EDL List generation. |

EDL MANAGEMENT is our applications specific Multi Standard
Edit Decision List EDITOR software for installation on a host PC.
ED-4 software will accept Lists in CMX, AMS Audiofile and DAR
Soundstation Formats. Output is in CMX Format. Once installed on
a PC the user may: Sort by Reel; Adjust Record Time;
Checkerboard; Consolidate Pre/Post Roll; Hand Edit; extract Roll
Numbers; Re-Format entire EDL Lists etc. |

TRACKSHEET is our applications specific Track Sheet/Dubbing
Chart generation software for installation on a host PC. ED-5
software imports a list from an AMS Audiofile, DAR Soundstation
or CMX Format and generates a COLOUR DUBBING CHART on an 80 or
132 column colour printer. (Mono printers may also be used and
the charts hand coloured).
Up to 24 channels may be accommodated with linking on adjacent
stereo tracks. Each track may be idented from a host directory of
common labels, eg, SyncSound, Music or SFX. The user may of
course enter any customised legend of up to 9 characters.
Programme Running Time may be defined as Timecode, Film
Time/Footage and printed accordingly. Other features include;
Simple Action Cue entry; Merge facilities; Non-Linear Time;
Simple Menu and Function Key operation. |
